Sephirot (/sfɪˈroʊt/, /ˈsfɪroʊt/; Hebrew: סְפִירוֹת‎ Səphîrôṯ), meaning emanations, are the 10 attributes/emanations in Kabbalah, through which Ein Sof (The Infinite) reveals himself and continuously creates both the physical realm and the chain of higher metaphysical realms (Seder hishtalshelus).

Sephirot

The term is alternatively transliterated into English as Sefirot/Sefiroth, singular Sephirah/Sefirah etc. Qabballah tree of life. Ein Sof. Ein Sof, or Ayn Sof (/eɪn sɒf/, Hebrew: אין סוף), in Kabbalah, is understood as God prior to his self-manifestation in the production of any spiritual Realm, probably derived from Ibn Gabirol's term, "the Endless One" (she-en lo tiklah).

Ein Sof

Ein Sof may be translated as "no end", "unending", "there is no end", or Infinity.[1] Ain, Ain Soph, Ain Soph Aur. The three viels reside above the tree of life and represent the outer limit of existence and the initial impulse of creation.

Ain, Ain Soph, Ain Soph Aur

Ain is the highest and first of the viels. It is literally translated as 'nothing', or simply 'no'; it is absolute emptiness, the opposite of existence, complete absence. Ain Soph is the middle of the three viels, and it proceeds from Ain by necessity. It is literally translated as 'no limit'. If there is nothing then there are no boundaries or limitations; this is the limitless foundation - the eternal in its purest sense. That which remains--when every knowable thing has been removed--is AIN SOPH, the eternal state of Being. Although indefinable, the Absolute permeates all space. Keter

It is also described as absolute compassion, and Rabbi Moshe Cordovero describes it as the source of the 13 Supernal Attributes of Mercy. Keter is invisible, colorless.[1] Description[edit] According to the Bahir: "What are the ten utterances? Tiferet. Description[edit] In the Bahir it states: "Sixth is the adorned, glorious, delightful throne of glory, the house of the world to come.

Tiferet

Its place is engraved in wisdom as it says 'God said: Let there be light, and there was light.'" [1] Tiferet is the force that integrates the Sefira of Chesed ("compassion") and Gevurah ("Strength, or Judgement (din)"). These two forces are, respectively, expansive (giving) and restrictive (receiving). Either of them without the other could not manifest the flow of Divine energy; they must be balanced in perfect proportion by balancing compassion with discipline. Tiferet also occupies a place on the middle pillar, and can be seen as a lower reflection of Kether, as well as a higher reflection of Yesod and Malkuth. Keter, Hochmah, and Binah. Ten sefirot of no-thing, ten and not nine, ten and not eleven.

Keter, Hochmah, and Binah

Understand in wisdom, be wise and understanding. Examine them, explore them. Know, contemplate, and visualize. Establish the matter thoroughly, and restore the Creator to his abode. Their measure is ten, yet infinite. Kabbalah: Keter the crown of creation - Los Angeles kabbalah. We are all creators.

Kabbalah: Keter the crown of creation - Los Angeles kabbalah

Every moment represents our capacity to create. It is by nature of bringing each thought into being that this capacity for creation is demonstrated. The ability to create presupposes the ability to choose. Our entire capacity to experience this now is based upon our ability to choose each moment what thoughts will be coming to the forefront or consciousness. For LOCAL INFO on Kabbalah, Torah and a Local Events Calendar click here In Kabbalah we learn to distinguish these various states of mind.

What this suggests is that whenever we experience something from nothing we are in that state of mind called Keter. Keter is called the crown of existence because each moment depends upon its existence in order to come to be. Therefore we can see why it makes sense to put this unifying principle of creation there at the beginning. <i>Keter</i> - Sefirot. Adam kadmon.
