The Technique Zone: Acrylic Paint Transfer

Supplies needed: Acrylic dabbers, photocopy of an image, water spritzer bottle, paintbrush, card stock, craft sheet and heat tool (optional) Take the lid off the dabbers and brush the paint onto the card stock, ensure you get a good coverage Take your photocopied image ( remember that you will get a reverse of the image, so don't use bold words), flip it over and place it in the acrylic. Lightly press it down making sure it's smooth and not wrinkled Leave to air dry for at least 15 minutes and then if you wish give it a blast with the heat tool http://techniquezone.blogspot.com/2008/08/acrylic-paint-transfer.html

say YES! to hoboken: DIY: Tinted Mason Jars in Rainbow

I’ve been experimenting with tinting mason jars to create a look like those old vintage ones that are difficult to find anymore in second hand stores. I think I’ve finally honed in on the perfect method. Would you like to see how it’s done? Check out the DIY here . Fill them with flowers, or illuminate an outdoor party filling them with battery operated tea lights or a strand of twinkle lights. I promise it’s easier than you think. http://sayyestohoboken.com/2011/09/diy-tinted-mason-jars-in-rainbow.html
I wanted to share with you a project from one of my readers who shares with us how to make leaf skeletons. I LOVE this! I have several leafs in various forms displayed in my home and knew I needed to make some of her leaf skeletons to add to my decor. I love how a pattern of leaves can enhance the beauty in your home. So I asked Heather if she would mind sharing her project with you. http://www.theidearoom.net/2010/10/how-to-make-leaf-skeletons.html

Two facts about me: I'm cheap. I love dresses. I wear dresses probably 6 days out of the week. It's not that I one day just decided to wear dresses to feel cute and girly. Far from it. http://talk2thetrees.blogspot.com/2010/07/how-to-make-easy-high-waisted-dress-for.html
