About Us: Codema. Codema is Dublin’s Energy Agency and was founded in 1997 as a not-for-profit limited company. We are committed to working with Dublin’s Local Authorities on improving the energy efficiency of public buildings in order to reduce the city’s CO2 emissions and achieve the ambitious climate and energy targets known as “20-20-20” targets: A 20% reduction in EU greenhouse gas emissions from 1990 levels Raising the share of EU energy consumption produced from renewable resources to 20% A 20% improvement in the EU’s energy efficiency In line with the National Energy Efficiency Action Plan (NEEAP), we are also committed to achieving a 33% reduction in public sector energy use. We act as an energy adviser to the Local Authorities and on their behalf sit as energy experts on a range of Steering Committees. Codema is well networked in Europe and has been very successful in bringing European projects to Dublin with a local implementation for the Local Authorities.
