German trio Les Loups decided to remix one of the local pop rock bands from their hometown of Hannover, and the result is phenomenal. The style of these two tracks couldn’t be further apart, the original being a song that you would likely find on a top 40 pop rock chart, while the remix is one of the most interesting nu disco tracks I’ve heard this year. Somehow making the vocals infinitely softer, the group gently lays them over dreamy instrumentals drenched in deep funk in this irresistible production. When Les Loups showed this track to the public, it seemed that they were unsure whether their fans would be keen to this track or not due to the fact that the vocals were in German, and most of their fan base was English speaking. I for one would find it very hard to believe that any single one of their fans wouldn’t instantly be in love with this jam, and it just goes to show that language proves to be a minimal barrier when it comes to enjoying great music.
