The “find your passion” idea is the kind of insipid, meaningless argument most frequently made by B-level speakers and middle managers who have nothing specific to offer. It’s just like “Keep a budget!” In fact, passion is so deeply embedded in our culture that it’s one of our deepest invisible scripts. It’s as if we’re just waiting for our passion to fall from the sky…THEN we’ll know what to do with our lives! Here’s my take: People love the “passion” idea because it allows us to wait for a mythical day where we find this elusive passion…and then ride off into the sunset on a white pony. Today (22nd June 2012) I cannot fully agree with what I wrote almost 3 years ago. Time has changed my perspective of the subject. Even though time needed for healing, we need to take care of the wounds. If time heals, we have to build more waiting rooms than building hospitals. All the sick people can be admitted in the waiting room for the time to cure them. I am not forgetting that a fracture in the borne needs time for the cure. In our relationship, there are wounds that we create.
Relationships needs to be built by putting more efforts. It is better to immediately take care of those small wounds in our relationship. The question is, who is to take the initiative in dressing the wound? Here Jesus says the importance of immediately taking care of the wounds. Why you need to spend 10 years or 20 years in hostility with your loved ones, when you can lead a happy and fulfilling life by reconciling with your loved ones? I don't like slamming ideas often, but this is kinda dumb. You clearly mention that building your resume is a tedious task and requires designing a layout properly. Now you suggest that people learn how to code in PHP and find a web host in order to make their resume???! This is IMO much more time consuming AND more confusing than doing it manually!! Especially having to go back and edit this monstrosity afterwards! I myself know PHP very well among several other programming languages, as well as having my own hosting already and I would never waste my time with this.
