Herbert Levy Memorial Endowment Fund Scholarship
The University of Notre Dame's Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) Program, which celebrated 25 years in 2011, provides opportunities for undergraduate students to experience hands-on participation in research in many areas of physics. Students are granted stipends, university housing, and assistance with travel and food expenses. Basically, this means that if you are a rising junior or senior, you can come to Notre Dame and work with a professor for ten weeks.

This REU site focuses on research in nuclear physics and nuclear chemistry. Students will have the opportunity to work closely with internationally renowned scientists at a major university-based nuclear facility. Undergraduates will gain research experience by carrying out specific projects under the direct supervision of Physics/Chmistry faculty at the Cyclotron Institute.schoolarships - Lehigh University Department of Physics
The new calendar year started well and all our courses are well under way. On February 1st, we had the great pleasure to welcome our newest faculty member, Joshua Pepper, to the department. He joins us from Vanderbilt University. He will strengthen our Astrophysics program with his research on extrasolar planets; planets that orbit stars other than our sun. The main focus of his research is the KELT project - a pair of small, wide-field telescopes that we are using to search for transiting planets around bright stars. He is offering a course on Astrobiology this semester.schoolarships - Lehigh University Department of Physics
