“Nothing Good Comes to Those Who Wait” is a deeply moody mid-tempo charmer spotlighting Amy Millan’s beautiful vocals as well as another Arts & Crafts regular: electro-weirdo (and frequent Feist cohort) Chilly Gonzales. After Torquil Campbell takes a turn on the mic, whispering the song’s haunted refrain like the Ghost of Christmas Past, Gonzales enters with a more pointed rap that closes out the track with some clever wordplay: “A life sentence of question marks” sounds like a grammatical and emotional nightmare.
