Vegetable Latkes - Family Spice. Almond butter banana apple w. inseed/chia. When apple o’clock strikes in this house, I just know something good is about to happen. There’s no secret that I love my apples and enjoy them everyday, either on their own, in a smoothie or as a yummy snack with some extras like seeds and nuts. This morning, more towards lunch time, I was craving for a fresh snack and I immediately started to visualize a green apple sandwich with layers of creamy banana stuffed in between crisp apple slices. Snack is boosted by super nutritious ground linseed and chia seeds. For extra deliciousness, I also whipped up a creamy sweet sauce to use both in the sandwich and as a dip to serve with apple slices.

I used half a banana to make it creamy and add some sweetness, as well as a bit of raw honey and cinnamon. Needless to say I licked all spoons and fingers while ‘recipe developing‘. Sauce is taste-approved and GOOD! This makes for a great light breakfast or post workout snack. Almond butter banana apple snack with linseed and chia.
