Wood heeft verluidt een deal gesloten met filmmaatschappij Warner Bros om te verschijnen in de twee langverwachte "Hobbit"-films. Het is echter niet duidelijk wat Frodo's rol in "The Hobbit" zal zijn, want het personage komt niet voor in het originele boek van J.R.R. Tolkien.
