I have a pretty huge obsession with geography. I love knowing where things are, and I can stare at a map for hours. Whenever I read a book that is set in another part of the world, I always have to look it up, I need to be able to have an idea of where everything is. So, it just follows that I would love the idea of using maps as decorative accents (and yes, I am fully aware that this is nothing new, I just still love it!)
The Wedding Chicks is one of the most fabulous wedding blogs around. Aside for always offering top-notch inspiration for planning brides, they also have a bevy of other great resources including free downloads and a shop filled with adorable goodies for your wedding day. There's something very personal about books, so to have inanimate objects reading specific titles seemed like a pretty amusing idea worth exploring.
Cut the bindings off of books found at a used book store. Find poems in the pages by the process of obliteration. Put pages in the mail and send them all around the world. Lather, rinse, repeat.

While we’re proud to wear our Fossil head-to-toe, it inevitably means we’ll end up in the cafe line next to someone wearing the exact same pair of shoes. Our creative director, Casey, took on the challenge to customize our Summer Wedge using two of our favorite of-the-moment trends… neon and glitter.

She would walk into the office from her home in the East Hills of Los Angeles (full of goats and chickens and all sorts of coolness!) with these great tomboy style outfits on and a certain laid-back cool girl vibe that I couldn't get enough of.

Oy vey, I've given up on collecting all the images/playlists/collages/stickers/diary entries/etc. necessary for my usual all-encompassing VIBES posts. The task has suddenly become really daunting! And tedious! And a blog is probably not the best format for being retrospective and examining all the music/movies/outfits/etc.

yesterday was my birthday. i can't remember the last time i was this content on my birthday. a lot has changed since my european holiday last year. i was inspired daily, for a month, by pure authenticity and genuineness. and that's hard to find and to hold on to. if you've been following my blog for the past three years, you must have noticed the change of blog content and i must say, frequency, of my postings. i used to blog once, twice, and even three times a day. looking back, what was i thinking? pw.travelogue has been the anchor of this blog since june of last year. i started posting my travel photographs every friday. i felt the need to share 1. my travel experiences, 2. my typography and photography, 3. original content that i hope to inspire.This needs to be split in two parts; Inside and Outside. I'll start with inside, since the outside part has to do with hellebores, and I feel you may be sick of them at the moment, or at least reading about them here. At some point it became clear to me that this is actually my house, that I will live in it, that I am at liberty to make my own aesthetic decisions about it...and that it is not just another project that I'm managing for a client. Which means I can choose to have no shower, or I can choose to have a laundry shoot. So much at the farm has been about efficiency, moderation and synergy - the renovation on the house the same...I've had the attitude of whatever works, whatever is cheapest please god!
