The campus spans approximately one mile (1.6 km) of the north side of the Charles River basin directly opposite the Back Bay neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. The campus includes dozens of buildings representing diverse architectural styles and shifting campus priorities over MIT's history. MIT's architectural history can be broadly split into four eras: the Boston campus, the new Cambridge campus before World War II, the "Cold War" development, and post-Cold War buildings.

Each era was marked by distinct builds representing neoclassical, modernist, brutalist, and deconstructivist styles which alternatively represent a commitment to utilitarian minimalism and embellished exuberance. MIT-Campus Tours/Events. Campus tours Download the new MIT Mobile Campus Tour!

You can download the corresponding forms via the Application Forms page on your MyMIT account. Recommendations: Whom to Ask One recommendation ("Evaluation A") should be from a math or science teacher and one ("Evaluation B") should be from a humanities, social science or language teacher. You should certainly ask a teacher who has taught you in an academic class in high school (i.e. no middle school, and no basket weaving class). Ideally, this will also be a teacher who knows you as more than just a student who does well on all the tests.

As a general rule, if the teacher teaches a class that would count towards MIT's math & science requirement, that teacher should fill out the A Evaluation; if the teacher teaches a class that would count towards MIT's humanities, arts, and social sciences requirement, that teacher should fill out the B Evaluation. West Point-Admission Requierments. West Point - GPA and Test Scores Needed for Admission for the United States Military Academy at West Point. The United States Military Academy at West Point has one of the lowest acceptance rates in the country.

West Point provides a high quality education for free, although all students will have a five-year service requirement after graduation. To get accepted, applicants will need grades and test scores that are above average. In the graph above, the blue and green dots represent accepted students. Most successful applicants had a GPA of 3.5 or higher, and they also tended to have SAT scores above 1800 and an ACT composite score of 25 or higher. Higher test scores and grades obviously improve your chances of getting an acceptance letter, and a 4.0 GPA is your surest bet for being admitted. Note that there are a few red dots (rejected students) and yellow dots (waitlisted students) mixed in with the green and blue.

West Point-Applicant Requierments. Hello my name is Gabrielle Perez. I’m a cadet at the United States Military Academy and I’m a senior this year. I decided to go West Point because my cousin graduated from West Point and one of my great uncles did and both of my parents are also Marines in the military so I’ve always been a part of the military lifestyle. At West Point the majority of the year I do academic work but in the summertime we do military training. This summer I did Cadet Leadership Development Training where I’m out in the field.
