I guess the E-Tomb makes complete sense for people like me who spend endless hours tweeting, Facebook-ing and blogging. It’s the kinda tombstone with Bluetooth and solar panels and stores your logs; friends and family can come over and access your virtual life from it and keep each other updated with anecdotes about you by uploading their stories to the tombstone. Sounds a bit spooky right now, but since RFID Tags for this are already popular, the next best thing has to be updates from the gave, and the world beyond! E-Tomb is a 2010 red dot award: design concept winner. Designers: Huang Jianbo, Zhao Ting, Wang Yushan, Ran Xiangfei & Mo Ran. Google creating its own social game using Google Maps.

Watch out, Facebook.

Google creating its own social game using Google Maps

Google is making its own game for Google+ … and it involves maps. Yesterday, the company released a video of the new game, which takes advantage of its Google Maps product. The video shows a cube with a map overlay. A small blue ball travels through the map based on the spinning and tilting of the cube. Judging by the video, it seems players will have to move through the map, hitting certain destinations to collect points along the way. Google introduced games to its social network Google+ in August. Facebook does not create games of its own. This game seems pretty lackluster at first: help a ball through an interactive map, woo.

Yeah, let that one sink in. via The Next Web Don't let cyber attacks kill your game! Before I Die & Candy Chang - StumbleUpon. What matters most to you Interactive public art project that invites people to share their personal aspirations in public.

Before I Die & Candy Chang - StumbleUpon

After losing someone she loved and falling into depression, Chang created this experiment on an abandoned house in her neighborhood to create an anonymous place to help restore perspective and share intimately with her neighbors. The project gained global attention and thanks to passionate people around the world, over 1000 Before I Die walls have now been created in over 70 countries, including Kazakhstan, Iraq, Haiti, China, Ukraine, Portugal, Japan, Denmark, Argentina, and South Africa.

The walls are an honest mess of the longing, pain, joy, insecurity, gratitude, fear, and wonder you find in every community, and they reimagine public spaces that nurture honesty, vulnerability, trust and understanding. The Before I Die book is a celebration of these walls and the stories behind them. 2011, New Orleans, LA. Cordoba, Argentina.
