With the Catskill mountains located just 3 hours from New York City, it has become a popular destination for many people around the east coast. The Catskill mountains offer hidden waterfalls, water holes, campgrounds, and beautiful hikes. One of the most beautiful sights is right by Hunter Mountain in the eastern section of the Catskills, which is known for their skiing/snowboarding during the winter. The Kaaterskill Falls are a two-stage waterfall on Spruce Creek, totaling 260 feet in height.
