If you were around or aware back in the days of the first 8 bit color Macintosh II, there was an amazing little program that took full advantage of the relatively limited 8 bit 256 color video capabilities. While flying toasters and hyperdrive powered star-field simulators dominated idle screens, FlowFazer emerged as an amazing achievement utilizing a unique pattern generator and the mac II's ability to cycle palette colors, resulting in something incredibly fluid and unlike anything else ever seen on a computer screen... it was simply mind blowing. These days we have IOS devices that can create amazing 3 dimensional swirling, exploding, chaotic and amazing visual effects no doubt. But, IMHO nothing moves quite like this app faithfully brought to you by the original author. While you may wish to touch and interact with the pattern itself, touch the screen to experiment with combination of the original settings and carefully crafted 256 color palettes.
