They are pretty straightforward launchers, offering great fun at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend them for a first launcher, they are not too high tech, but offer breech loading, a very nice feature for any launcher. Don't be fooled by their looks, they pack a punch! I would highly recommend the BL series for anyone just getting into spudgunning, Its cost and ease of construction makes it a great launcher. Breech loading is awesome, it is much faster to load.
I think it took me about 40 seconds to load a spud with the ramrod method, and now it takes me 5-10 seconds. Once you try breech loading, you will never go back to muzzleloaders. Type 1: Cam Lever Coupling This is the method I use on my spud gun. I use Banjo fittings.
