In the late 1980s, NASA and the Associated Landscape Contractors of America studied houseplants as a way to purify the air in space facilities. They found several plants that filter out common volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Lucky for us the plants can also help clean indoor air on Earth, which is typically far more polluted than outdoor air.
Landscaping sounds complex to those of us not gifted with green thumbs – but making paths, patios or decks to define space in a garden or yard can be as simple as slicing sections of wood and infilling the gaps with sand.

Inspired by Annette's Modern DIY Outdoor Planter post , Apartment Therapy reader Chris shows us all how easy this project was to recreate... Thank you for your post on Annette's modern DIY outdoor planter . I immediately went to Home Depot to replicate it in my barren back patio.
Thank you for visiting Little House in the Suburbs.
