Hey Photographers: OnOne Perfect PhotoSuite 7 Giveaway

The guys over at OnOne Software have given me a Full version of their new Perfect PhotoSuite 7 worth $300 to give away to one lucky winner. For those of you who are not familiar with OnOne’s software let me tell you a little bit about this power tool for photography. The Dashboard of Onone PhotoSuite 7 This is an image software set that is based around it’s Perfect Layers foundation. The reason this is the core of the software is because it allows other programs that do not support Layers (Lightroom and Aperture) to use layers and all of the benefits that come to photo editing through that. One of the things that I love about this software is that it works as both a stand alone program or through plug-ins which support Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Elements and Apple’s Aperture. The Perfect PhotoSuite 7 includes new versions of Perfect Resize 7.5, Perfect Effects 4 and Perfect Portrait 2.

Well we are making it easy for you. About UsEcuador Unplugged. Ecuador Unplugged is about more than a passion for Ecuador, her people, and her places.

About UsEcuador Unplugged

It is a mission – both simple and complex – to promote travel and tourism within Ecuador. We believe that Ecuador has long been under promoted as a tourism destination, both internally and externally. Passion For Ecuador Our goal is to raise the awareness of Ecuador’s unique position in the world to both Ecuadorian and non-Ecuadorian tourists. Consisting of four unique bio-zones (Coastal, Sierra, Amazon, and Islands), no other country in the world can provide a wide variety of adventure and tourism as Ecuador. Our Approach is simple, utilizing real people to tell their stories and share their love of Ecuador with the world through our images and our adventures – bringing photography to life. D. Upcoming series – Windows of the Soul. I must admit that I seem to be taking on a bit more than I can chew lately and Ecuador Unplugged has been quietly awaiting my return while I have been busy playing around with setting up a couple other sites and trying to get a new business venture off the ground.

Upcoming series – Windows of the Soul

Rest assured more content is on its way including some contributions from our regular authors. Regardless of my lack of overall motivation…maybe it is the weather….to blog I have plugged away on the design side and planning a new upcoming photos series, which has already started, called “Windows of the Soul – Ecuador”. This project will involve a compilation of up-close and personal shots of people I meet on the street , specifically their eyes (hence the windows of the soul reference).

Photo Essay: A Day in the Life of a Banana Plantation - ecuadorunplugged.com

As part of our Voices of Ecuador series we intend to take you behind the scenes of life in Ecuador. In this first installment we take a look at life on a small banana plantation, West Banana, located just outside of Machala in El Oro province. Only 52 hectares in size this is one of the smaller plantations in an area that produces most of the worlds supply of bananas and, of course, the best quality bananas in the world. I spend a lot of my free time on the web exploring the work of professional and amateur photographers for ideas and inspiration.

The Ugly Duckling: Defining your Photography Style

What I have discovered is that there is a lot of mediocrity out there and most of this is due to what I call a “lack of style”. Now, before you get your knickers in a knot (you other photographers) I place myself firmly and squarely in that category of having a lot of mediocrity circulating out there for public consumption. This got me thinking, how can I improve on my photos? My conclusion – image style! Surf the web today and you will find a plethora of photographers at all levels whose portfolios are nothing but a schizophrenic journey through colour, B&W, HDR, IR and God knows what else. So why is this important? Your Style Defines Your Images Creating an individualistic style for your work is an evolutionary process in photography. Medium. Marcofiglio2.
