Origami Garbage Bin.
Foto's: www.kekkila.com. Repurposed rain gutters. Build a $10 Cedar Raised Garden Beds. UPDATE: Here's those cedar beds I built for $10 bucks each . . . just before the moose ate the entire garden :( I can't rave enough about these beds, my garden was amazing and super low maintenance. BUILD THESE. It's a must build. A while back while shopping at the Blue Store - AKA Lowes - shopping for mortar and grout and stuff for our river rock stone veneer for the face of our house, I happened to smell some cedar.
And I love the smell of cedar. So I followed my nose to a pile of dogeared 1x6s on special for $1.59 each. Cedar. $1.59 each. $1.59 Each for a 1x6, 6' Long. And yes, the were 5/8" thick instead of 6/8" (or 3/4"), but I was okay with not paying 10 times as much to get my corners back and an 1/8" of thickness. Not bad for $10. Build a Folding Plant Stand. Organizing Garden Tools with PVC. I love the "Keeping it Real" posts that fellow bloggers post. We all know that we share the best photographs and that often the other side of a room is a disaster. I will be showing to you the disaster that I spent the Memorial Day weekend rectifying.
That would be the tool shed. It was embarrassingly disorganized and non-functional. But thanks to bloggy inspiration, today it is not! Today, our garden tools stand at attention in organized (and labeled) fashion. There is utter chaos in here. Then I started planning, arranging, looking at the space. Next I had to deal with the garden tools. I knew a variation would work in our tool shed. First I cut the pieces to length at an angle on the band saw. We have a lot of tools so I made a lot of PVC holders. I then drilled holes into each end. When I emptied out the tool shed I found an old piece of 3/4" plywood from a project from 35 years ago (I can't believe I have saved it for 35 years - I finally found a second use!)
Here it is in place. Alternative Energy and Gardning.
