Being able to anticipate what will happen in the next future is what puts a fashion designer, a retailer or a fashion buyer in the position to make better decisions in their work. There are moments when designers becomes artists, artists become designers, or both entities becomes something different entirely.

Both the genre of fine arts and fashion design not only bare the affect of trend and social temperature, but their changing relationship to one another is also reflective of society as a whole. Perhaps some interventions and collaborations are more successful than others, but what is primarily important is the dabbling, the mixing, and fantastic results that come from the fanciful play of the privileged creatives.
