I just tuned the bike, including cleaning and lubing the chain. Shifts and brakes flawlessly! The upgrades, chosen for smoothness and long-term durability, include: Wheelset: Shimano 105 hubs (super smooth!) Overall, this rolls like a dream :) Great for touring or commuting!! I've replaced the chain and rear cassette once, when I replaced the front rings. With the original stem, this is a tad aggressive for all-day riding (for my taste anyway; I'm 6' 0" and have a short torso), so my next upgrade was going to be to a taller/closer stem.
