Traced to Finnish architect Marco Casagrande, this school of thought eschews massive urban renewal projects in favor of a more localised and community approach. “Urban acupuncture is a surgical and selective intervention into the urban environment,” said Los Angeles architect and professor John Southern in an interview, “instead of large scale projects that involve not only thousands of acres, but investment and infrastructure that municipalities can no longer provide.”Southern explained that the urban acupuncture approach treats cities like a living organism. We’re seeing more and more of this type of initiative around the country.
Appel à projets innovation numérique pour la solidarité de la Fondation Orange. La Fondation Orange a lancé le 31 mai l’appel à projets « l’innovation numérique pour la solidarité » destiné aux associations loi de 1901 (date limite de dépôt du dossier : 8 juillet 2011).
En 2010, il a été a lancé le programme Orange solidarité numérique afin que les nouvelles technologies contribuent au développement social et économique pour tous ; avec un volet d’accompagnement des adhérents d’associations dans l’utilisation des outils numériques. Les ateliers vont de l’initiation informatique et bureautique, des premiers pas sur l’Internet à des usages plus ciblés. Domaine d’intervention de l’appel à projets Le nouvel appel à projets sur le thème « l’innovation numérique pour la solidarité » vise à accompagner des projets utilisant le numérique comme facteur d’intégration et créateur de lien social en s’appuyant sur la connaissance des besoins des publics visés.
