5 Mistakes people make in home furnishings | Aauraa International. It happens to everyone, we shop and when we see the perfect home decor accessory we give in to the impulse to buy and excitedly bring home the new-found treasure— only to discover that what looked like the ideal accessory looks hideous when put in place, and leave us thinking- Where did we go wrong? Home furnishings is an art where most of us don’t understand about the interior design as it takes a very keen and knowledgeable eye of how color, lighting, room size, scale, and placement all affect how items look in a room and dictates whether they will make or break a room design. It is not mandatory that one needs an interior designer to design their dream home. We may not be a professional, but we too can give a makeover to our home like a pro. However, we must make sure we don’t make those little and common mistakes that can ruin our whole decor.
“When you enter into a room, it should be like a city scape…a combination of different heights.”- Linda Floyd Have a Plan in Mind Focal Point. SURPRISING WAYS TO ADD COLOR TO YOUR HOME. We all need a little bit of color in our lives. Color sets the mood and the tone of the home – some colors are vivacious and energetic while others are much more calming and relaxing by nature. Whether it’s on a pair of pillows, the back of a bookshelf, the floor or the ceiling, a splash of unexpected color transforms any space from boring to breathtaking.
Go for big, colorful art. Conquer blank walls and a color void with vibrant art. For a more streamlined look, invest in a single large piece. For a more eclectic look, hang several smaller pieces. A colorful piece of art placed in a living room not only adds a decorative touch, but also introduces colors and shapes you might not be able to use in a larger area. You can also have fun by hanging things like pieces of fabric or wallpaper on the wall. Mix It Up Nothing adds color like pillows strategically placed on furniture. Window Treatments Window treatments are a great way to add color to a room. Dress Up the Floor Upholstered Furniture. SPRING-The Season of New Beginnings - “You can cut all the flowers but you cannot keep the Spring from coming.”
—Pablo Neruda Yes, this blog is all about spring and the trends that we believe are going to make its mark in this season . Let’s talk about spring. Spring is the season of activity and opportunity that follows the turbulence of winter. It’s the season for entering the fertile fields of life with seed, knowledge, commitment and a determined effort. The spring is perceived to be season full of transformations, a time of growth, renewal, of new life (both plant and animal) being born. It is the season of new beginnings. The leaves we saw fall and flowers we saw wilt are now budding into lush, green, picture-perfect plants.Fresh buds bloom, animals awaken and the earth seems to come to life again.
This is the season that can be used more as a metaphor for the start of better times. In other words people call it the spring cleaning, the ritual of dusting and washing of our homes from the gloom and dirt of the winter. Heimtextil Frankfurt Jan 2017. Hola !
