The 42mm Ocean-1 closely resembles another classic timepiece. It features a water resistance rating of 300 meters / 1000 feet which is more than enough for the needs of the average person. The case is made from 316L stainless and measures 42-mm in width (46-mm with the crown), is 13-mm in thickness, uses a 22-mm band lug width. It has with sapphire crystal with AR coating that includes a Cyclops magnifier and a unidirectional bezel. When I first laid hands on the 42mm black Débaufré Ocean-1 I was struck by the weight and feel of the watch, the watch has a solid heft weighing in at over 7 ounces.
