Sorrow-kun’s List of 50 Great Anime of the Decade 2000-2009 » Behind The Nihon Review. Our staff’s review of the decade continues, and today I’ll be taking on the massive task of trying to list the best fifty anime that came out this decade, as I saw them. As is fairly obvious by now, I can only list the anime that I saw, and I’ve taken the policy of not putting ongoing series on the list, even though there are a couple of gems that are still currently airing (such as Cross Game and Kemono no Souja Erin). Also, some of the series on this list started airing in 1999, but ending in 2000.

You can find a collection of other lists that have been posted on the blogosphere here, and our good friend gaguri, from Ha Neul Seom (하늘섬) has posted his Top 50 here, which I highly recommend. 50. In this case, we're counting down the top fifty anime titles of the past ten years, as voted on by the staff. A mix of personal preferences and earth-shattering titles, we invite you to come and discuss with us which series you believe are the most important, which ones we got utterly wrong (because you're list is right) and take a guess at what the staff voted on. Freddie Mercury. Believe it! Top 50 Godly Anime of 2001-2010. 50 Best Anime Movies of all Time | Top 50 Anime Blog. Great story, superb characters and amazing visuals as is expected from Miyazaki. Porco Rosso has a lot of funny moments and entertaining scenes, especially the quotes from Porco, the most original and intriguing character from Studio Ghibli’s repertoire! It’s a simple, funny and intelligent movie, underlining mature themes through metaphoric characters and daring dialogues, that I would recommend to most. What I really like in love stories is simplicity, heart and realism, and Hotarubi no Mori e had it all. Not to mention that there is a very pleasant atmosphere and the art is simply beautiful.
