The River House Located 125 acres on the La Plata River, one mile from Blue Lake Ranch is the Isgar River House. Used as part of the Isgar farm operation for over half a century, the River House is available for guests when not being used by the farm operation.
The original house was built in the late 1800’s and was rebuilt in 2012. The new house has great river and meadow views and has two bedrooms, each with a small kiva fireplace, two bathrooms each with a whirlpool tub, and a full kitchen as part of a great room with fireplace and reading alcove (that can sleep one to two additional guests), all with splendid river views. A patio with grill and seating is just off the great room. There is even a washer and dryer. Guests enjoy seeing the gardens being tended, the hay crop being put up and gathering wild Iris and other seeds.
