Trip Notes - Intrepid Travel
On day 2 we take it slowly, taking care for the altitude for a guided walking tour of Leh town, including a visit to Leh Palace, Victory Peak, and the old quarter. After lunch, visit the gift shop and headquarters of a LEDeG, a conservation organization working to preserve the environment and Ladakhi traditional ways of life. Meals included: breakfast day 2 At 3505 meters above sea level - Leh is very popular with travelers, with a back drop of the Himalayas and amazingly clear blue skies you will have time to relax today and adjust to the altitude. Overnight: The Mahay Palace Hotel, or similar On arrival at Leh airport you are met and transferred to the your guesthouse, (transfers cannot be arranged on arrival, please advise flight arrival details at least 14 days prior to departure).
