Casablanca est un film américain de 1942 réalisé par Michael Curtiz avec comme têtes d'affiche Humphrey Bogart et Ingrid Bergman. L'action se déroule pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale dans la ville de Casablanca au Maroc, alors contrôlée par le gouvernement de Vichy. Le sujet principal du film est le conflit de Rick Blaine (Humphrey Bogart) entre l'amour et la vertu : il doit choisir entre ses sentiments pour Ilsa Lund (Ingrid Bergman) et son besoin de faire ce qui est juste pour aider le mari de celle-ci, le héros de la Résistance, Victor Laszlo (Paul Henreid), qui doit fuir Casablanca pour continuer son combat contre les nazis. Rick Blaine est un Américain amer et cynique, expatrié à Casablanca où il est propriétaire du Rick's Café Américain. AFI distributed a ballot with 400 nominated movie quotes to a jury of over 1,500 leaders from the creative community, including film artists (directors, screenwriters, actors, editors, cinematographers), critics and historians. Due to the extensive number of memorable movie lines in American film, jurors could also write in votes for up to five quotes that may not already appear on the ballot.
