The way you go about doing this is going to differ from person to person based on the specific skill sets of the individual. There are those whose profession of choice allows them to work from anywhere because of computers and the internet. I also know of carpenters, tailors, music teachers, mechanics and barbers who continuously travel to new places and will offer up their services to local shops for short-term work.

For more than a decade we've been looking for an RV travel guide that gives us the information we most need. We're frugal minded RVers. For example, we know that many free camping options exist because we've found them.
From years of frugal RV travel, I know of many ways you can cut your travel costs but none is as important as knowing where to find the best low-cost and free camping. Luckily for us, in many areas of North America, including the most scenic states (Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, California, and Colorado) there are still plenty of free, scenic, legal, and safe camping areas. But, since no one is making money from these sites, there are no guide books showing them and no ads in magazines to tell you about them. For 12 years we've been doing both.
