As a child growing up in a small village in northern Canada, I dreamed about meeting people from other countries and finally I got the chance to do so when I moved to the United States to become a flight attendant for a large airline. After several years of flying I got married and decided to stay on the ground. For many years I worked in high tech as a marketing support manager and product development manager. When my husband retired (the first time) I opened up a small wholesale and retail business with two locations in the Boston area. At the time I was also doing some volunteer work in teaching non-native speakers to speak and write in English.

Along the way I entered Harvard University where I got my master’s degree in education with a concentration in adult teaching and learning. There are also many other interests that take up my time.
